PJPS worked with Probe (Hull) Limited on significant projects in Hull.
Lion House was made into seven multiple occupancy apartments in a building that was previously the Lion Hotel on Hessle Road in Hull.
The property was purchased and has been refurbished as part of the Government’s Empty Homes Programme to help regenerate the City of Hull and provide affordable housing.
The old pub had been empty since 1989 and was subject to vandalism, fire and squatters and the premises were under threat of demolition. Local people are absolutely delighted to see the property refurbished and there is a waiting list of people wanting to move in to the rented accommodation.
PJPS Construction worked alongside Ettridge Architecture and the project managers Delaney Marling Partnership and the client, Probe (Hull) Limited was delighted with the results as we completed on time and slightly under budget.
The Empty Homes Programme seeks to purchase void properties around the City of Hull and refurbish them either as part of the training programme with Hull College or working with local contractors to breathe a new lease of life into streets that are home to derelict houses.
